Job summary

Bilfinger UK is seeking an experienced Surveyor to join our construction and maintenance projects. You will plan and execute dimensional surveys, establish gridlines, and provide as-built reports, working closely with Construction Managers and engineers.

With 3+ years in surveying or setting out, you will use Total Station equipment and related software to verify coordinates, support alignment of equipment and pipework, and contribute to QA documentation and timely releases to trades.

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal skills required as part of a large project team.
• Self-motivated to achieve client deadlines.
• Competent in Total Station and related software.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule the survey requirements for each tagged item with Construction Managers, engineers and site supervision.
• Ensure surveys are carried out in a timely manner to allow release to mechanical trades.
• Ensure all tagged items are positioned in accordance with client specifications / tolerances.
• QA documentation is signed off when equipment has been positioned as required.
• Create dimensional survey reports as required.
• Attend Daily Coordination meetings and other meetings as required.
• Use surveying equipment and related software.
• Establish / extend a 3D coordinate grid system based on existing reference points.
• Survey mechanical equipment and provide as-built reports detailing design / actual coordinates and deviations.
• Survey civil plinths & fixings and provide reports.
• Aid construction by providing design gridlines & elevations throughout each structure as required.
• Aid construction during the alignment of equipment / pipework.
