Job summary

Digital Catapult Group is hiring to extend and maintain the UK Digital Twin Centre's data backbone. You will transform sensor and industrial data into scalable platforms, shaping architectures and pipelines from concept to delivery.

You will work across digital twin initiatives using Python/SQL, cloud services, and IoT data, balancing autonomous work with collaboration with partners and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Strong software/data engineering background with Python and SQL.
• Experience designing and building data pipelines and ETL.
• Familiarity with cloud data services and platforms.
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience with telemetry, IoT or streaming data.
• Able to work autonomously and collaborate with partners.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines from sensors to platforms.
• Shape data architectures and manage data lakes and databases.
• Clean, transform, and structure data for reliable use.
• Develop telemetry and data integration pipelines for scale.
• Evaluate emerging data technologies to improve performance.
