Our customer in the Defence sector is seeking a dynamic and experienced Digital Transformation Project Manager to support the implementation of an Operational Model system aimed at delivering continuous improvement across the FC/ASW programme. This role sits within the FC/ASW New Business & Transformation Team and will provide strategic project and programme management support across multiple transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project management activities for the Secure Communication strand of the Transformation Strategy, enabling network connectivity between UK and Italy to support multinational bid execution.
- Define and develop the Digital Tools Strategy for UK operations, including assessment of current toolsets and gap analysis against user requirements.
- Own and maintain the digital tools roadmap, ensuring alignment with productivity improvement goals and providing monthly progress updates to stakeholders.
- Document the rollout of digital tools across the FC/ASW team, including process mapping, knowledge transfer, and training materials.
- Ensure digital tools are implemented to maximise functionality and user adoption.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and point of contact for all digital connectivity queries.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for digital efficiencies across the programme.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, identifying productivity enhancements and assisting the wider team with implementation.
- Contribute to broader transformation projects, driving operational and strategic improvements as required.
- British Nationality and current SC Clearance (mandatory).
- Proven experience in Project Management and Operational Management, ideally within Defence or high-security environments.
- Strong understanding of Knowledge Management principles and digital transformation methodologies.
- Ability to assess and implement digital tools in complex operational environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Pragmatic and solution-oriented approach, with consideration for programme timelines and feasibility.
- Willingness and ability to travel to Italy as required.
Desirable
- Experience working on multinational defence programmes.
- Familiarity with digital toolsets used in engineering or defence environments.
- Certification in Project Management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, Agile).
