The Environment Agency is seeking a technically adept digital transformation specialist to drive impactful change within our organisation that serves to protect the environment. In this role, you will lead the transformation of outdated and unsupported IT systems, integrating new technologies into the business. You will collaborate with Digital, Data, Technology, and Security (DDTS), serving as the intelligent client representative for the Environment Agency. As the role evolves in response to organisational needs, you will need to adapt to changing priorities and emerging risks.

The team
The Technology Governance Digital and IT team sit within the Strategy, Transformation and Assurance department. Our aim is to support delivery of the Environment Agency’s strategy and outcomes through technology and data services.
Responding to incidents is an important part of what we do, and with this in mind you’ll have an incident role. This may attract an additional payment, and full training and alternative working arrangements will be available to support you.
Experience/skills Required
You will be self-motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable working in a dispersed team, able to demonstrate the following skills through your experience and understanding:
Your base location will be any Environment Agency office. We use technology to full effect to keep in touch/enable a good work/life balance, however national travel will be required for meetings.
The starting salary is £52,929.
