Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Transformation Manager to oversee and drive the successful implementation of digital transformation initiatives across our organization. In this role, you will turn business priorities into a clear, sequenced roadmap, deliver change that people actually adopt, and prove its value through measurable outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, technology integration, and change management, with a proven track record of leading complex digital projects across enterprise platforms, data, automation, and AI.

What Success Looks Like:
  • First 90 days: Build relationships with key stakeholders, assess the current transformation portfolio, and agree a prioritized roadmap with clear business cases.
  • First 6 months: Put in place consistent delivery governance, status reporting, and benefits tracking, and deliver early wins that show tangible value.
  • First 12 months: Deliver key initiatives on time and within budget, with measurable gains in efficiency, customer experience, and user adoption.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of digital transformation projects from business case through to go-live and handover to operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize digital initiatives based on business value, effort, risk, and readiness.
  • Develop and manage project timelines, and resource plans, and work directly with customers as needed to communicate status.
  • Ensure alignment of digital transformation initiatives with business goals and objectives.
  • Define success measures and KPIs for each initiative, and track benefits after go-live to confirm value is realized.
  • Oversee the integration of new technologies and systems into existing processes, working closely with architecture, security, and data teams.
  • Identify opportunities to apply automation, analytics, and AI to simplify processes and improve customer and employee experience.
  • Establish clear delivery governance, including steering committees, RACI, decision logs, and stage gates.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular updates to stakeholders and executive sponsors.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies associated with digital transformation projects.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors and implementation partners, holding them to agreed scope, quality, and timelines.
  • Lead change management activities, including stakeholder analysis, communications, readiness assessments, and adoption tracking.
  • Plan go-live, hypercare, and transition to run teams so new solutions are stable and fully supported.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the organization.
  • Provide training and support to employees on new digital tools and processes.
  • Ensure solutions meet data protection (UK GDPR), information security, and compliance requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in digital transformation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital transformation, or a related role, including leading cross-functional programmes end to end.
  • Strong understanding of digital technologies and their application in business.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise technologies (ServiceNow, Oracle, GCP, Azure).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders and customers.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience with change management and driving organizational change.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow SPM, MS Project, or similar) and in both Agile and Waterfall delivery methods.
  • Experience managing project budgets and building business cases.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to use data to support decisions.
Qualifications - Desirable:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Project, programme, or change certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, APMG Change Management, or Prosci.
  • Agile or service management certifications such as SAFe, Scrum, or ITIL 4.
