Job Description:

Please note this is an NHS Band 8b role, with a maximum hourly rate of £ per hour. This is a 20-hour per week contract with at least 2 monthly onsite meetings.

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate individual to lead the delivery of our digital transformation programmes within our client's Pathology Network.

The postholder will strategically lead, manage, and coordinate the delivery of the digital transformation programmes for the Pathology Network. They will oversee and help develop the Pathology IT teams, ensuring adequate support, resilience, and capacity for the network.

Responsibilities
  • Finish delivering the Diagnostics Digital Roadmap, with responsibility for all contracts within both programmes of work, worth over £15m over their respective lifecycles. Reporting through multiple approval forums to Board level in NHS Trusts, ICB, and NHSE.
  • Develop and implement a future digital and IT roadmap for the pathology network, working closely with IT directors across the county to ensure support and that all interdependencies are considered.
  • Recruit and manage project teams as required, including subject matter experts from operational teams and specialist resources brought in to support deployments.
  • Work collegiately with supplier project managers to ensure that procured systems are implemented in full accordance with the contract, on time, within scope, budget, and meeting quality standards.
  • Manage project budgets totaling over £1m per annum and more than £15m over the entire project lifecycle.
  • Provide line management for the Pathology IT and Systems Manager and other roles within the Pathology Network.
Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience delivering large-scale NHS digital transformation programmes.
  • Experience with clinical and non-clinical systems.
  • Experience in system integration projects.
