Job summary

The Stepstone Group is seeking a Digital Trading & Performance Manager to shape marketplace performance across the UK business, collaborating with Product, Marketing, Analytics, Pricing, and Commercial teams to drive growth through data-driven insights.

You will influence senior stakeholders, lead commercially impactful initiatives, and deliver executive reporting on trends, challenges and opportunities to support strategy and investment decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in Marketplace, Ecommerce, Digital Trading, Performance Marketing or Product Performance environments.
• Ability to interpret complex datasets, identify trends and uncover actionable business insights.
• Proven experience translating data into recommendations that drive measurable business outcomes.
• Ability to build credibility and influence decisions across multiple teams and functions.
• Executive communication skills presenting insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Structured, data-driven mindset with a track record of solving business challenges.
• Experience in digital marketplaces, ecommerce, conversion optimization, pricing or growth-focused environments.
• Experience presenting insights to senior leadership or executive stakeholders.
• Experience leveraging AI-powered tools, reporting frameworks or advanced analytics.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyse and communicate marketplace health across commercial, candidate and product KPIs.
• Identify growth opportunities, performance risks and optimisation potential through data analysis.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, Analytics, Pricing and Commercial stakeholders to improve outcomes.

What you’ll do

• Marketplace Performance: Monitor, analyse and communicate marketplace health and performance across key commercial, candidate and product KPIs.
• Drive Insight-Led Decisions: Identify growth opportunities, performance risks and optimisation potential through data analysis and market intelligence.
• Influence Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with Product, Marketing, Analytics, Pricing and Commercial stakeholders to improve marketplace outcomes.
• Challenge & Improve Performance: Turn trends and insights into actionable recommendations that influence strategy, investment decisions and business priorities.
• Lead Executive Reporting: Present performance trends, business challenges and opportunities to senior leaders and executive stakeholders.

Must-have

• Relevant Industry Experience: Experience in Marketplace, Ecommerce, Digital Trading, Performance Marketing or Product Performance environments.

• Commercial Mindset: Proven experience translating data into recommendations that drive measurable business outcomes.
