Qualifications

Job Description:

Murphy is recruiting for a Digital Technician to work with Murphy Applied Engineering in one of our regional office locations.

Our engineering teams represent a multi-disciplined range of engineering skills, adding value across all sectors, and pushing the boundaries of digital construction, engineering innovation, and design to deliver intelligent, sustainable, and economical engineering solutions.

Under Murphy Applied Engineering, our in-house teams include civil, structural, mechanical, geotechnical, and process engineers. They design both permanent and temporary works for projects in all locations and are a trusted source of advice for Murphy colleagues and external clients.

A day in the life of a Digital Technician

  1. Preparation of project design drawings, including site mechanical/civil GAs, traffic management, vehicle swept path analysis, route plans, etc.
  2. Preparation of project as-built drawings.
  3. Participation in roles assigned within a BEP and work according to BS EN ISO 19650.
  4. Formulation of deliverable packages and liaison with document control teams.
  5. Interrogation/preparation of models and drawings using various CAD applications.
  6. Assistance with project tender packages as required.
  7. Coordinate with internal & external team members, design teams, and project teams.
  8. Liaise with colleagues and departments regarding drawing requirements.
  9. Prepare drawings following current CAD standards.
  10. Ensure proper storage, issuance, and archiving of drawings per company procedures via CAD Data Management software.
  11. Work within strict deadlines and project budgets.
  12. Maintain chargeable work evaluation through timesheet records.
