Job description

About Oh Polly

Founded in 2015, Oh Polly is a fast-growing, social-first fashion brand that creates trend-driven, high-quality premium products. With a focus on innovation, global responsibility, and ethics, we have built a combined social following of over 10 million across our brands, including Bo+Tee, our activewear line. Operating across multiple global offices, we are a dynamic team offering ambitious individuals the chance to thrive, grow, and take their careers to the next level.

The Role

We are seeking a meticulous and technically skilled Digital Technician and File Manager to join our visual content team. In this role, you will be responsible for adjusting and managing colour in post-production, ensuring that the final imagery aligns with the brand's vision and standards. You will work closely with the Retouching team to maintain best practices for file transfer and seamless execution of photographic assets from capture to post-production. Additionally, you will manage the organization and integration of digital files into our workflow, particularly those captured during offsite shoots and processing files from an external freelance team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Colour Grading/Management: Using Capture One to apply appropriate colour grading to enhance the mood and tone of photoshoots, ensuring that the images align with the desired creative direction. Adjust and perfect colours on photoshoot imagery to ensure consistency with brand guidelines, product samples, and overall aesthetic. Maintain consistency in lighting across different sets and products. Work with the retouching team and photographers to enhance image quality for marketing materials, look-books, and social media.
  2. Colour Proofing/Consistency Across Mediums: Review final images to ensure consistent colour quality, appearance, and accuracy before distribution across digital, print, and various platforms.
  3. Lighting: Provide input on lighting and colour during photoshoots when required to achieve optimal results in post-production.
  4. File Management: Handle naming and organizing digital files according to established conventions. Manage the integration of offsite shoot files into the studio's digital asset management system, ensuring efficient storage, retrieval, and backup of digital assets.
  5. Trend Awareness: Stay updated on digital photography, file management techniques, and industry colour trends and technologies.
Skills and Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in post-production, with at least 3 years focused on digital tech and colour grading, preferably within the fashion industry. Experience in model/garment retouching is beneficial but not essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of advanced software such as Capture One, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Lightroom for colour correction and management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and strategies effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage various projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree in Photography, Digital Media, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
What’s on Offer?
  • Salary: £34,000 - £50,000
  • 50% discount on all Oh Polly and Bo+Tee products
  • An extra day off for your birthday
  • Corporate gym membership (subject to tax)
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Learning and development opportunities
  • Company pension
  • Company social events
