AXA UK is seeking a Digital Sustainability Lead, the authoritative figure responsible for monitoring the climate change impact of our IT services, solutions, and platforms. You'll spearhead efforts to ensure that we make significant progress against our defined action plans aimed at reducing our greenhouse gas (GHG) footprint. Join us in our commitment to meet AXA's ambitious external target of reducing CO2 emissions from operations and help us shape a more sustainable future through innovative digital practices.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. We're also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

What you'll be doing:
  • Own the Digital Sustainability (DS) function within AXA UK.
  • Collaborate with Senior Stakeholders on the DS strategy, progress, training and initiatives to drive AXA UK wide commitment.
  • Implement the AXA UK DS Strategy and associated Action Plans which reduce the AXA UK Greenhouse Gas (GHG) footprint and meet targets determined by AXA Group, AXA UK and others.
  • Steer Sustainable IT transformation by increasing awareness, embedding cultural change, and training.
  • Evolve AXA UK's future capability to manage, measure, track and communicate DS with appropriate technology, processes and skills.
  • Deliver UK and Group DS reporting requirements within schedule.
  • Drive the adoption of DS best practices, processes, and tools in AXA UK.
  • Own ESG reporting and initiatives aligned with DS.
  • Represent AXA UK in Digital Sustainability forums and activities.

What you'll bring:
  • Technical IT or Digital background with strong experience across a variety of areas including software, hardware, service and third-party IT management.
  • Previous experience with Digital Sustainability activity-based engagement.
  • Experienced in project and task management.
  • Skilled in Excel and PowerBI, with demonstrable experience in both.
  • Effective organisational skills underpinned by excellent collaborative working and pragmatic decision making.
  • Proven track record of collating and interpreting disparate digital information to ensure quality timely outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities across business areas at all levels including director level.
  • Confident presentation and influencing skills.
  • Digital Sustainability, Climate or Environmental related education or evidence of continuous development of DS related knowledge and skills.
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
