Job summary

Sony Pictures Television’s new Digital Studio in Paddington, London, is hiring an Editor to shape digital-first content across long-form YouTube and short-form social formats. You’ll take projects from rushes through to finished edits, collaborating with the Creative Director, Head of Production and broader teams to deliver engaging content.

The role emphasizes strong storytelling, technical craft, and a passion for creator-led content, with a 12-month fixed-term contract ideally starting

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro editing from rushes to final delivery.
• Proficient knowledge of After Effects for motion graphics and visuals.
• Experience editing for YouTube with a strong portfolio of long-form and short-form content.
• Solid understanding of YouTube/digital storytelling, pacing and audience retention.
• Digital-native mindset with enthusiasm for YouTube, creators and evolving audience behaviour.
• Experience adapting content for social platforms and different formats.
• Strong creative instincts and ability to contribute ideas and editorial solutions.
• Good organisational skills to manage multiple edits and deadlines.
• Collaborative mindset with clear communication and receptiveness to feedback.
• Curiosity about emerging editing techniques and tools.

Responsibilities

• Edit long-form YouTube videos and short-form social content to a high creative and technical standard.
• Take ownership of edits from rushes through to final delivery, following briefs and production schedules.
• Apply storytelling, pacing, music and visual instincts to engage audiences.
• Adapt edits for different platforms and audiences while maintaining quality.
• Collaborate with Creative Director and Production teams to realise the creative vision.
• Work with editors and freelancers as needed to ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain project organisation, files, rushes and versions across live projects.
