Digital & Social Media Coordinator (with IT Support Responsibilities)
Fever FM

PURPOSE OF JOB

We are seeking an enthusiastic and tech-savvy Digital Media & Social Media Coordinator with a solid understanding of IT systems and digital content creation. You will manage the station’s digital presence—social media, website, app, and digital video—while supporting IT and broadcasting technology needs.

The ideal candidate will bring creativity, technical expertise, and a passion for empowering communities through media. You’ll work closely with staff, volunteers, and local community members to produce engaging multimedia content and ensure access to broadcasting technology and training.

This role offers a varied workload and valuable opportunities for personal development in digital media, community engagement, and IT support.

PERSON SPECIFICATION (ALL ESSENTIAL)

  • Proven experience (at least 1 year) in digital/social media marketing, and video editing
  • Ability to plan, create, and publish multimedia content across social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X)
  • Provide digital skills workshops and training for community correspondents and volunteers (including use of mobile devices, video editing software, and content scheduling tools)
  • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot IT and broadcasting equipment (complete training provided)
  • Maintain and update Fever Radio’s website and social media channels, including on-demand content, feedback forums, and relevant news.
  • Offer IT support to internal staff and volunteers in the office and during community projects.
  • Video record and edit community interviews, events, and promotions
  • Strong communication (oral and written), teamworking, and leadership skills
  • Creativity, initiative, and the ability to manage projects independently
  • A flexible approach to working hours

  • Experience working in the community or voluntary sectors

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and implement engaging social media campaigns to promote Fever Radio’s programming and community projects.
  • Train and mentor volunteers in using digital platforms and basic broadcasting and IT systems
  • Produce and edit short videos, livestreams, and promotional graphics for social media platforms.
  • Collaborate and promote local organisations through radio, digital and social media.
  • Maintain basic IT infrastructure in the office (hardware/software updates, user support)
  • Provide regular analytics reports on social media and website performance
