East Lancashire Learning Group’s Lancashire Adult Learning division seeks a Community Teacher for Digital Skills to deliver introductory digital skills programs across floors of community venues. This role supports learners from first steps to more advanced provision, promoting confidence and practical skills with everyday devices.

The post requires experience teaching adults and a Level 5+ teaching qualification or commitment to achieve within three years.

Qualifications

• 4 GCSEs or equivalent, including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above.
• Degree in a relevant subject area. A degree specifically in IT, Computing or Digital Technology is not required.
• Recognised teaching qualification at Level 5 or above, or willingness to achieve this within three years of appointment.
• Successful experience of teaching adults, ideally within introductory digital skills provision.

Responsabilités

• Teach accessible introductory and first steps digital skills programmes.
• Support learners to progress to more substantial Lancashire Adult Learning provision.
• Plan and prepare high-quality teaching and learning.
• Develop practical digital skills including safe use of devices and online services.
• Monitor attendance, achievement and progression; provide timely feedback.
• Provide effective tutorial and pastoral support.
• Maintain learner records and use College systems.
• Contribute to curriculum development and planning activities.
• Prepare learners for accreditation where applicable.
