Salary: £33,351.00 - £47,397.00 FTE

Employer Pension Contribution: 28.68% (£9,565.06 - £13,593.45 FTE)

Location: Stretford and Stockport campus

The Trafford and Stockport College Group is seeking a Digital Skills Lecturer to join our Lifelong Learning Team. You will be required to deliver courses in community venues across Stockport and Trafford as well as on any of the 5 campuses.

About The Lifelong Learning Department

The Lifelong Learning team is an ambitious and fast-moving division that focuses on delivering a variety of accredited and non-accredited learning opportunities in a range of subject areas including digital skills, functional skills (maths and English), creative activities, employability, citizenship, life skills, and health and wellbeing.

We offer courses for adults in Trafford and Stockport on our 5 college sites as well as in community venues.

About The Role
  • To deliver outstanding digital courses using a diverse range of teaching and learning strategies. You will provide learners with an exceptional educational experience enabling them to maximise their potential.
  • To deliver a variety of short, part-time digital skills courses and workshops at a range of levels. Our digital curriculum includes non-accredited courses for beginners and improvers, as well as accredited courses (Gateway Essential Digital Skills Qualifications at E3 and level 1). Recent experience of teaching similar courses (Beginners through to Level 1) would be advantageous.
  • To ensure documentation including schemes of work, lesson plans, RARPA documentation and other resources are in place before the start of courses, ensuring all course related administration is kept up to date.
  • To provide informal information, advice and guidance for learners, identifying individual support needs and individual progression opportunities, signposting leaners to appropriate progression opportunities.
  • To participate in staff meetings as required, carrying out any other duties that may be reasonably required.
  • To work closely with the Lifelong Learning Leader, the Digital Skills lecturer, and the community development workers to deliver responsive, high-quality community learning provision.
  • To develop good relationships with staff and learners in college and community venues, to strengthen the capacity of local people in different communities to participate in adult community learning.
