Job summary

GKN Aerospace Global Technology Centre, Bristol, is inviting applications for a 12-month Year in Industry placement. You will work on real projects within the Digital & Simulation cluster, developing digital and AI processes to support next-generation aircraft manufacturing.

The role offers hands-on experience, industry expert support, and cross-functional collaboration across sites. The placement starts August/September 2027, with a starting salary of £24,500 plus a £500 bonus and a generous

Qualifications

• Must be studying towards an undergraduate degree in any computer science related discipline.
• Experience with writing code.

Responsibilities

• Develop digital and AI processes to support the manufacturing of the next generation of aircraft.
• Spend the majority of time at the GTK Digital & Simulation team facilities in Bristol.
• Contribute to factory data handling, analytics and AI technologies to improve manufacturing and business processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across sites in the UK and internationally.
