Are you an experienced media sales professional with a strong background in digital advertising? Whether you’ve sold advertising for print, radio, magazines, online subscriptions, or digital marketing solutions, if you understand the media landscape and know how to sell within it, we want to hear from you. We are hiring a Digital Sales Consultant to join our Midlands team and help drive growth across our regional titles.
At LOCALiQ, part of Newsquest Media Group, we are proud to represent some of the Midlands’ most trusted local news brands. With over 200 titles across the UK, we offer a powerful platform for businesses to reach their audiences through innovative, data-driven marketing solutions. In this role, your day-to-day will be a dynamic mix of client engagement and strategic selling. You’ll spend your time travelling around the Midlands to meet clients face-to-face, as well as conducting video meetings with businesses looking to elevate their digital presence. Your focus will be on selling premium digital advertising solutions, including highly targeted social media campaigns across popular social media channels, as well as advanced digital display advertising designed to deliver measurable results.
You’ll be expected to manage your own pipeline, identify new opportunities, and build strong, consultative relationships with clients across a range of industries. Whether you’re reigniting conversations with lapsed advertisers or introducing LOCALiQ’s cutting-edge solutions to new prospects, you’ll be positioning yourself as a trusted advisor in the digital media space.
Key Responsibilities
- Sell tailored digital marketing solutions that deliver measurable results for clients
- Build and maintain strong client relationships across your territory
- Identify and convert new business opportunities through proactive outreach
- Manage and grow key accounts with a focus on retention and upselling
- Represent LOCALiQ and our trusted Midlands titles with professionalism and insight
- Keep up to date with advertising trends and products
- Maintain records in CRM system
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Proven experience in media sales—this is essential
- Can drive and lead new business deals
- Can grow existing client accounts
- Provides unrivalled customer service
- Strong understanding of digital advertising products such as display adverts and social media advertising.
- A consultative, client-focused approach to selling
- Confidence in face-to-face meetings, video calls, and phone-based outreach
- A passion for local media and a drive to succeed
- Attend meetings across the region, soa driving licence and a vechile are essential
