Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Digital Risk and Compliance Lead to join our Digital and Technology team. This key role involves ensuring that Digital & Technology risks and compliance obligations are proactively identified, managed centrally, and supported by appropriate controls. The position also focuses on continuous improvement in risk management processes and fostering a culture of risk-based decision making through coaching and support.

Location and Employment Type

Based in Southbank, Victoria, with a hybrid work model (Office/WFH). This is a permanent role within the Strategy and Partner Management team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Partner with Digital & Technology teams, Lines of Business, and stakeholders to identify, assess, and manage digital risks, controls, and solutions.
  2. Manage risk registers, assess risks, and implement improvements in the risk and control environment.
  3. Develop and execute a Digital & Technology Risk Management Plan, enhancing risk management processes.
  4. Maintain understanding of compliance requirements, including regulations, cybersecurity, third-party contracts, and audits.
  5. Ensure documentation, tracking, and management of compliance obligations.
  6. Provide governance and drive continuous improvement in risk and compliance activities, embedding a risk-aware culture.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Extensive experience in risk and compliance roles.
  • Strong understanding of governance principles, management plans, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of corporate risk frameworks and regulated utility compliance (desirable).
  • Broad understanding of business operations, risks, and opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship management skills.
  • Experience with risk and compliance tools like Jira, Enablon, etc.
Additional Information

Emergency Response: May be called upon to support emergency responses such as storms, bushfires, or floods.
