Digital Resilience Lead

Schillings is expanding its Digital Resilience capability to help high-profile clients protect and enhance their reputations across search, social, monitoring, intelligence and AI-driven insights.

We are looking for a Digital Resilience Lead to turn our growing Digital Resilience team into a sustainable, high-performing and commercially credible client offering. The role combines client delivery, team leadership, operational grip, capability development and new business support. You will work closely with colleagues across Intelligence, Security and Diplomacy, Legal, Communications, AI and Clients & Markets to ensure Digital Resilience is clearly understood, consistently delivered and valued by clients and the wider business. You will also play a key role in our counter disinformation and misinformation work.

Role accountabilities

  • Oversee delivery across search, social, monitoring, intelligence and AI-driven insight workstreams, ensuring consistently high-quality and commercially relevant outputs for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strengthen the team’s operating model, processes and standards so Digital Resilience can scale without losing quality, pace or judgement.
  • Lead or support high-stakes digital reputation mandates, bringing clear direction to complex, sensitive and time-critical client matters.
  • Translate specialist digital analysis into clear advice, strategies and actions that help clients make confident decisions.
  • Build strong relationships across the business so Digital Resilience is embedded in client work and sought out by partners and teams.
  • Support new business development, proposals and pitches, helping shape compelling propositions and explain the value of Digital Resilience to clients.
  • Develop new products and services that respond to emerging digital, reputational, privacy and AI-related risks.

Candidate requirements

The strongest candidates will combine strategic perspective with the pragmatism, resourcefulness and resilience needed to make progress in a fast-moving environment. They will be credible with partners, clients and specialist colleagues, able to translate technical expertise into clear commercial value, and confident helping to scale a growing capability. Crucially, they will be able to help technically expert teams become effective reputation advisers — understanding Schillings’ clients, the pressures they face, and how our wider capabilities create value. We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience in digital reputation, digital intelligence, digital communications or online risk, with the judgement to apply that expertise in complex client-facing environments.
  • Strong understanding of search and social strategy, monitoring tools, online disinformation, synthetic media and AI-related risks.
  • Proven ability to lead and get the best from technically expert or multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong judgement in complex, sensitive and time-critical client matters.
  • Clear communication and relationship-building skills, with the credibility to earn trust from partners, clients and specialist colleagues.
  • Commercial mindset, with the ability to spot opportunities, support pitches and help position a growing capability internally and externally.
  • Structured, calm and solutions-driven approach, with the resilience to create grip and improve standards in a fast-growing environment.
  • Strong alignment with Schillings’ purpose of protecting reputation, privacy and security, and with our values: Innovative, Bold, United and Excellent.
  • Affinity with our purpose of protecting reputation, privacy and security and alignment with our values: bold, innovative, united and excellent.
