Job Title: Digital Project Administrator / Assistant / Junior Project Manager / Web and Apps

Location: Birmingham

Salary: GBP25,000 - GBP32,000 per annum

Position: Permanent, Full-Time

Job Summary
Trading for over a decade, the company is a well-known mobile app and web app development agency based in Birmingham's up-and-coming Jewellery Quarter. You will support the Project Team with administrative tasks associated with running projects, business admin, and customer communication. If you're successful for the Junior Project Manager role, then you will also manage small to medium-sized projects.

Based in Birmingham's up-and-coming Jewellery Quarter, the Company specializes in making mobile and web apps for small and medium-sized businesses and is looking for a Digital Project Administrator or Junior Project Manager (depending on experience) to join the Team. You will report into and support the Programme Manager with administrative tasks associated with running projects, communicating with customers, and other general business activities. In addition to this, the Junior Project Manager role will manage small to medium projects with support and guidance.

The Company has a culture of learning and understands that you may not have worked within an app development company before and is therefore looking for evidence of transferable skills that demonstrate you will work well with the team and be capable of carrying out your roles and responsibilities.

These are some of the nature of tasks that you will support the Company with:

  1. Liaising with customers about the status of their project via email, phone.
  2. Coordinating our internal customer-support ticket system (Jira Service Desk), ensuring clients get a timely response to issues and requests raised.
  3. Answering the telephone.
  4. Attending meetings and taking notes.
  5. Testing web and mobile app projects as if you are the end-user, checking that the app meets the project specification document and graphic designs.
  6. Liaising with external suppliers and coordinating their output with the project.
  7. Raising issues in our project management software (Atlassian Jira).
  8. Reviewing and verifying clients feedback raised during user acceptance testing.
  9. Inputting content provided by customers onto websites.
  10. Monitoring project progress and identifying risks.
  11. Describing app features from wireframes and writing them into project specification documents.
  12. Creating and maintaining project documentation.
  13. Other administrative duties.

Whether it be a request you might be dealing with, a feature you might be testing or a wireframe you are describing, there will be many occasions where the work you perform will have subtle what-ifs or knock-on effects. Therefore, you should be able to demonstrate that you conduct your work with attention to detail, considering the wider objectives of the task at hand.

The company is looking for a demonstrable tech enthusiast. Prior industry experience, University degree, or other relevant further education.
