The successful candidate will act as a consultant and project lead, working with clubs, federations, and rights holders to gather requirements, shape delivery plans, liaise with clients and offshore developers, and oversee successful implementation of digital products. Strong communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is essential.

On-the-job training will be provided.

URC will be developing new products to launch to the market and this role offers the opportunity to help shape URC’s technology foundations at a defining moment in its journey.

The Role

Working closely with the Head of Marketing – Growth & Technology and Senior Marketing Manager, the Digital Platforms Manager will:

  • Support the management of URC’s digital ecosystem (web, app, OTT, CRM, fan engagement products).
  • Coordinate and manage relationships with key technology providers including Eluvio, WP Engine, WSC Sports, Oval, Two Circles, Auth0, Superbru, Azzuu, AWS, Tata Communications, Apple, Google, and OneSignal.
  • Assist and support with direct-to-consumer (D2C) campaign fulfilment.
  • Oversee app store submissions and updates, ensuring compliance with Apple and Google requirements.
  • Monitor and report on platform performance, uptime, and fan usage across digital products.
  • Support the rollout and operation of new internal platforms (injury surveillance system, NLP + RAG AI dashboard, Project Outlier: App + Web + CMS + CDP + Stats).
  • Manage data flows and integrations between platforms and escalate issues as needed.
  • Work with clubs and unions to support their use of URC-provided platforms and tools.
  • Assist with documentation, training materials, and support processes for stakeholders.
  • Track and report on campaign performance, platform adoption, and usage trends.
  • Proactively monitor industry and technology trends to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide reporting to URC leadership on technology operations and supplier performance.
  • Act as a product consultant for external clients using URC-developed platforms (via Outlier) ensuring smooth onboarding and adoption.
  • Gather client requirements and translate them into clear project plans and technical briefs.
  • Liaise between clients and offshore development teams to ensure successful and timely implementation.
  • Provide ongoing support to partners using URC/Outlier technology, including troubleshooting and performance optimisation.
  • Represent URC with professionalism and authority in client meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and resources to support client delivery and long-term platform usage.
  • Help identify common client needs to inform future product development and enhancements.
The Candidate

You have experience with digital platforms and technology providers, with a strong understanding of how they support rights-holders and fans. You should be organised, detail-focused, and comfortable working across multiple platforms at once. You should be curious, willing to learn, and able to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You should understand how digital platforms connect from OTT and apps to CRM and fan engagement, and be eager to shape URC’s service delivery.

You should have a positive mindset, be a team player, and align with URC core values: Aim to Amaze, Be Brave, Lead from your Position, Act as one Team United.
