As a Product Owner, you’ll be involved in the whole lifecycle of Piping Rock's digital product portfolio. You will bring your skills and energies to a great team whose focus is enablement -- of your business/marketing side partners; on the engineering side for implementation and delivery; and of our customers – whose happiness, satisfaction and loyalty drive everything we do here.

Responsibilities:

1. Understand the ask, embrace your role as the bridge between business and technical teams. Ensure that business goals are met, and technical strategies are aligned.
2. Be a great partner to your architects and development teams. Always be proactive in solving the problems that could otherwise keep your team from being successful.
3. Be a subject matter expert, become the go-to resource for answering any and all questions related to your projects. If you don’t have the answer, you go find it.
4. Ensure that your team understands priorities, so they always know what to do next.
5. Be an active participant in the strategic dialog that defines our roadmap and portfolio.
6. Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
7. Be the owner and steward of your backlog. Ensure that your user stories are detailed, accurate and actionable – even the ones you may not actually have written.
8. Work closely with leadership and across the team, ensuring that your team’s priorities align with the overall strategy, interdependencies, ROI and other business imperatives.
9. Assist in product release plans and manage expectations for delivery of new functionalities.
10. Understand the business vertical, know what the competition is doing, and apply your knowledge to add value.
11. Provide vision and direction to the Agile development team and other stakeholders, throughout the product lifecycle.
12. Be a thought leader and evangelist for true Agile culture here at Piping Rock.
13. Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends.
14. Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. 3 years' experience in a Product Owner or Business Analyst role.
2. BA or equivalent experience, preferably in related subject matter.
3. Experience working in the eCommerce space, specifically with marketplaces like Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Target, etc. -- your experience here is a big plus.
4. Outstanding ability to bridge communication gaps between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
5. Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and MS Office tools.
6. Knowledge and familiarity with direct API integrations and custom built in-house software solutions.
7. General understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.
8. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
9. Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
10. Creative thinker with customer-first mindset.
