As a Digital Product Designer for the Discover & Explore Squad, you will own the guest experience and visual design. Your role involves creating inspirational storytelling experiences that showcase our brands, bringing our propositions and services to life. The ultimate goal is to craft products that people love through continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver the product experience for guests during their discovery and consideration phase, encouraging them to start the booking process.
- Build and maintain a design system of visual, reusable components and patterns to enable efficient and consistent high-quality releases.
- Create, own, and manage the product's Design Principles, Guidelines, and Design System.
- Lead and oversee the user experience from conception to launch in collaboration with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
- Provide implementation guidance to engineers and ensure features are launched at the highest quality.
- Lead and evolve design practices to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and quality in delivery.
- Present designs, prototypes, and concepts to cross-functional partners and stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in digital design, preferably in retail, entertainment, or hospitality industries.
- Strong customer focus with experience in behavioral and digital research methods, and the ability to clearly communicate findings.
- Visual design expertise with skills in typography, UI design for desktop and mobile, color, layout, iconography, and aesthetics.
- Effective collaboration skills within cross-functional teams to achieve company goals.
- Experience building, releasing, and maintaining broad design systems across multiple platforms, with the ability to influence business outcomes through communication and persuasion.
- Innovative end-to-end thinking, advocating for customers to generate new ideas that meet their needs.
- Technical depth with problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Data-driven with the ability to present research and methods confidently.
- Proficiency with Design Thinking frameworks to support product discovery, design, release, and iteration.
- Experience with prototyping tools like Figma and working knowledge of Adobe Suite.
