Job description

We are recruiting for a Fine Art Digital Printer with experience in Large Format printing, confidence working on a Production Press, and strong IT skills within the print industry.

Following significant investment in new, state–of–the–art printing technology, our client is expanding their production team and seeks a motivated individual. The ideal candidate will be an all–rounder with excellent pre–existing industry skills, ideally with experience in setting up and operating print machinery. Strong IT skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities include:

1. Operate wide format digital Hybrid UV printing presses
2. Operate Zund plotters
3. Maintain high standards of quality control
4. Complete job documentation for quality assurance and efficient delivery
5. Assist in maintaining and improving production processes
6. Operate all finishing equipment, including printing presses
7. Complete all necessary paperwork for each job
8. Ensure the print room remains clean at all times
9. Maintain the upkeep of all equipment

Work Environment:

This position involves working in the Print department using a Digital Print machine and a digital cutting table. The cutting machines are manufactured by Zund, specifically the S3–L1200 and PN–L1200 models.

Candidate Profile:

Previous experience or relevant job titles such as Digital Press Technician, Print Production Specialist, Pre–press Technician, Print Production Assistant, Large Format Printer Operator, Digital Print Production Lead, Print Finishing Technician, or Graphics Production Specialist will be considered.

Additional Skills:

We are particularly interested in candidates experienced with a Xerox Iridesse (Irodesse) using Caldera software, and those familiar with operating a Swiss Q UV printer. The role involves using Caldera and Fiery software for file ripping, printing, and creating colour profiles.
