The Guinness Open Gate Brewery London (GOGBL) is a new Guinness neighbourhood in London that will encourage the best in brewing, food, retail and culture. Consisting of 52,000 square feet of heritage buildings and a central courtyard in the historic brewing quarter in Covent Garden, GOGBL will become a key growth driver for Guinness, placing the brand in culture, driving relevancy and brand saliency amongst a new generation of drinkers. GB is the biggest Guinness market globally and Guinness is enjoying a period of outstanding growth and cultural magnetism, with the brand growing by around 50% since 2019 to the biggest it has ever been in value, volume and market share in the brand’s 264-year history.
You will be responsible for:
- The flawless online experience for all consumers browsing and booking tours with us.
- Paid Media – strategy, planning, approval of assets and agency management. Including owning the annual Connections Planning process with our global media agency.
- CRM – strategy, approval of final emails, GDPR compliance.
- Website Management – coordinates all website updates, works to continually improve the consumer experience and optimise based on the latest insights and analytics.
- Continually driving optimisations across all channels.
- DMC (Diageo Marketing Code) & DDC (Diageo Digital Code) – ensuring all our comms and comms from our Food & Beverage partner enforce to our responsible marketing standards.
- Development of effective reporting.
- Line management of the Digital Marketing & Ticketing Executive.
- Working with the Marketing Manager to ensure all content requirements are communicated for upcoming shoots.
- Working with the Culture & Partnerships Manager to ensure the website is updated with the latest information on events, partnerships and collaborations. Ensuring that all first party data capture opportunities are improved.
Key Stakeholders
The role reports into the Head of Sales & Marketing, GOGBL and has a Digital Marketing & Ticketing Executive as a direct report. The role holder will need to form a relationship and work closely with not only the Sales & Marketing team but also key contacts within the wider Diageo business. This includes the Data & Technology (D&T) team, Legal team, Media team and CRM team.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Have solid previous experience within CRM, performance media and UX. You will have no problem bringing to life multi-channel campaigns that are consistent, consumer centric, in line with standard process and that deliver commercial results.
- Agency and budget management, particularly for paid media.
- Experience in setting up, driving and optimising performance media campaigns, particularly within Google and Meta.
- Hands-on experience within a CRM platform (ideally Salesforce).
- Experience curating/feed-backing on content to the best fit channel requirements, whilst being on brand.
- The ability to provide a clear, easy to digest narrative to stakeholders in the business that are not ‘tech savvy people’.
- A deep understanding of site, social, media and CRM insights, analytics and reporting, with the ability to optimise plans based on results.
- A great understanding of what makes a faultless consumer experience online and how to work with several stakeholders across a business to bring this to life.
- A clear understanding of responsible marketing and GDPR.
- Experience working for a brand with a clear tone of voice and identity.
- Experience working with a ticketing system (desired).
