Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Digital Optimisation Lead to drive digital delivery and advisory across our England & Wales Water operations. The role blends hands-on digital implementation with client-facing consulting, championing data-driven decision making and AI adoption to deliver measurable outcomes for clients and internal teams.

Reporting to the Water Digital Lead for EURI, you will partner with account managers and regional teams to identify opportunities, shape strategy and lead delivery across

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field (engineering, data or IT)
• Experience in a digital, data or technology role within infrastructure or water
• Proven track record leading digital delivery across programmes
• Experience with UK water sector clients and regulatory frameworks
• Strong data skills including governance; Power BI and Azure; Python preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead digital delivery across projects and frameworks in England & Wales.
• Develop and implement digital optimisation strategies with core digital team.
• Advise clients on digital transformation, governance and roadmap development.
• Engage with Client Account Managers to identify opportunities and define delivery requirements.
• Champion AI, ML and data science adoption across project teams and client engagements.
• Identify automation opportunities and develop MVPs with scaling potential.
• Support regional delivery teams with latest digital solutions and upskilling.
• Contribute to bid responses including RfPs, ITTs and tenders for digital-led opportunities.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions to align on strategy and demonstrate value
