Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Digital Optimisation Lead to drive digital delivery and advisory across England & Wales. You will champion data-driven decision making, AI, and emerging tech to deliver measurable outcomes for clients and internal teams.

Reporting to the Water Digital Lead for EURI, you’ll partner with client managers and regional teams to shape strategy, build digital opportunities, and lead delivery across programmes with a strong emphasis on governance and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Eng, CS or Data Science.
• Strong digital/data/tech experience in infrastructure or water.
• Proven track record leading digital delivery across programmes.
• Experience with UK water sector and regulated frameworks.
• Data governance and platforms like Power BI/Azure; Python preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead digital delivery across England & Wales projects and frameworks.
• Develop and implement digital optimisation strategies with the core digital team.
• Advise clients on digital transformation, governance, and roadmaps.
• Engage with account managers to identify digital opportunities and align with client needs.
• Champion AI, ML and data science in project teams and client engagements.
• Identify automation opportunities and deliver MVPs with scaling potential.
• Support regional teams in adopting latest digital solutions and upskilling.
• Lead bid responses for digital-led opportunities.
