Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Digital Optimisation Lead to drive digital delivery across England & Wales Water operations. You will lead delivery, champion AI, and collaborate with regional teams to shape strategy and outcomes.

The role blends hands-on delivery with client-facing consulting, requiring strong data skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Hybrid working and professional development are offered.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Computer Science or Data Science.
Experience in digital, data, or technology roles within infrastructure.
Proven track record leading digital delivery across programmes.
Experience with UK water sector clients and regulated frameworks.

Responsibilities

Lead digital delivery across projects in England & Wales as the digital lead.
Develop and implement digital optimisation strategies with the core digital team.
Advise clients on transformation approaches including data governance and roadmaps.
Engage with Client Account Managers to identify opportunities and define delivery requirements.
Champion AI, ML and data science to drive efficiency and insight across projects.
Identify MVP opportunities and scale them within delivery frameworks.
Support regional delivery teams with adopting latest digital solutions.
Lead bid responses and coordinate proposals for digital-led opportunities.
Facilitate client workshops and stakeholder sessions to align strategy.
