Job summary

Equans is seeking a Digital Operations Centre Manager to lead the on-site BMS engineers and digital IoT services from our Bellshill office. You will manage day-to-day delivery, contractor relationships, and stakeholder engagement across the UK portfolio, with a focus on KPI delivery, SLAs, and compliant operations.

As a senior leader, you will own P&L between £1m-£3m, drive continuous improvement, upsell services where possible, and travel to sites for reviews and safety checks as required.

Qualifications

• Degree level education or qualified and experienced trade in electrotechnical/remote systems.
• Experience managing self-delivered and subcontracted BMS services at large scale including software, networking and Java.
• Thorough knowledge of BMS industry and systems (Trend, Tridium, Siemens).
• Excellent knowledge of HVAC plant and M&E systems.
• P&L responsibility with a track record of success.
• Strong client focus and ability to communicate clearly; KPI and contract delivery history.

Responsibilities

• Lead digital service provision in the DOC and day-to-day management of ~10 personnel.
• Manage BMS remote service engineers, project support and other digital/IoT services.
• Maintain supplier relationships and review contracts with customers and senior clients.
• Drive KPI delivery, SLAs, and compliance with safety and contract standards.
• Engage stakeholders and support PMO, travel to sites for reviews and safety visits.

Equans is looking for a Digital Operations Centre Manager to join our Digital business, based from our office in Bellshill in Glasgow supporting the on site BMS Engineers who are supporting our Mobile BMS Engineers across the UK.

Key activities

• Responsibility for digital service provision in the DOC
• Day to Day Management of BMS Remote Service Engineers, BMS Project Support and other digital/IoT services (approx. 10 persons)
• Managing specialist supplier relationships
• Regular contract reviews with customers and senior clients, upselling services where possible
• Excellent commercial acumen, understanding of KPIs & strong history of successfully delivery contracts
• BMS, IT, Software, Operational understanding and awareness
• Delivery of contract KPI’s – meeting SLAs
• Management of statutory, legal, safety and contract compliance standards
• Stakeholder engagement and supporting PMO
• P&L responsibility between £1m - £3m
• Travelling to sites in the portfolio to undertake service reviews, safety visits and meet teams

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

• Degree level education, or, Qualified and experienced trade (electrotechnical/remote systems)
• Experience of managing self-delivered and subcontracted BMS services on a large scale, software, networking and Java
• Thorough working knowledge of the BMS industry and systems our teams may encounter (ie, Trend, Tridium, Siemens etc)
• Excellent knowledge of HVAC plant and other M&E systems
• Experience within a variety of contract environments
• P&L Responsibility with a track record of success
• Strong client focus and clear, concise communication skills
• Excellent commercial acumen, understanding of KPIs & strong history of successfully delivery contracts in financial terms
• Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with the team, clients, support functions and other departments to optimise service levels
• Working knowledge of CAFM/Other Systems
