Digital News Editor
London | Full time
At Monocle, we go beyond the headlines to deliver sharp analysis, inspiring ideas and deep reporting, all with an ambitious global perspective. We cover international affairs alongside the ideas shaping business, design, urbanism and quality of life. We’re as interested in solutions and the people driving change as we are in the events of the day.
We’re looking for a Digital News Editor to shape our daily agenda across monocle.com, our newsletters and Monocle Radio. You’ll have the judgement to find a new angle on a major story, the curiosity to spot one that others have missed and the confidence to bring colleagues and contributors together to deliver an engaging, accurate report at pace.
This is a hands‑on role at the centre of our editorial team. You’ll move between the immediacy of the daily news cycle and the planning that makes ambitious coverage possible: deciding what leads a newsletter, working with our bureaux on a developing story and making sure that the right guests are lined up for radio. Above all, you’ll help to ensure that our journalism is timely, accurate and unmistakably Monocle.

What we offer
Monocle is an independent media brand. Since launching in London in 2007, we’ve grown from a magazine into a world of daily newsletters, Monocle Radio, digital journalism, events, retail and cafés. Our readers and listeners come to us for original reporting, useful ideas, an optimistic lens and a unique, considered view of the world.
The role is based 5 days a week at Midori House, 1 Dorset Street, Marylebone, with international travel as required. Working hours are 09.30 to 18.30.
If you can spot the story, find the angle and help an editorial team to tell it brilliantly, we’d love to hear from you.
