West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced network and telecoms engineer to join our technical infrastructure team. This role involves supporting network and telephony specialists and junior staff.
Key responsibilities include working independently on network and telephony configuration changes, supporting incident resolution, and implementing new networks. The role requires travel around the west Suffolk area to support our sites. Effective communication with colleagues across the organization is essential, along with attention to detail and thorough documentation, as outlined in the person specification.
This position is suitable for an engineer with existing experience seeking further development, or a senior engineer interested in a healthcare environment.
You will join a mature digital organization committed to delivering high-quality, digitally enabled healthcare. The primary duties include providing specialist support for Digital Communications Infrastructure as part of the third-line Engineering Team. Under the guidance of the Senior Network Specialist, you will support the design, planning, development, implementation, and documentation of digital communications infrastructure. Additionally, you will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain infrastructure against helpdesk tickets, incidents, and scheduled maintenance.
The role also involves sharing knowledge with team members and assisting in resolving complex issues, including accompanying other engineers during incident management.
