This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours. Our core business hours are Monday to Friday – 10am to 3pm with a flexible approach to start and finish times
Our hybrid working model is 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home
Overview
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Digital Merchandising Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Digital Trading, the successful applicant will be responsible for the representation, online delivery and trading of products and campaigns across our site & app. The role will also include working with our buying, supply chain, marketing and technical teams. You must be detail-oriented, extremely organized and have at least 2 years’ experience in an ecommerce role.
Role Responsibilities
· Execute the day-to-day optimisation of all website and app merchandising initiatives, driving enhancements in customer navigation, user experience and content placement to improve conversion and other digital KPIs.
· Manage the online classification process and publication of new products to our website, applying appropriate taxonomy, attribution and product merchandising best practices.
· Assist in the planning and maintenance of the content on all website and app pages, ensuring they are always optimised for conversion rate and revenue to the highest degree.
· Support the Head of Digital Trading in building campaign briefs that use the trading calendar, promotional masters and sales forecasts to map out future website & app merchandising strategies and asset requirements.
· Manage the asset plan to support the upload of all content changes on site and app, also leading pre-launch walk through checks, to ensure alignment to trading plans and promotional briefs.
· Ensure the seamless execution of campaigns and trading initiatives with a focus on optimising the customer journey and driving revenue.
· Utilise analytics tools such as Targit, GA4, Bloomreach & Content Square to understand and measure website, category and product performance to optimise customer journeys and asset placement.
· Collaborate with the website search, SEO and digital advertising teams to optimise search performance, ensuring keywords are optimised and product ranges are returned based on search intent and revenue contribution.
· Collaborate with the digital analyst and UX/UI teams to understand customer product discovery and support A:B testing to maximise conversion rate and pursue seamless customer journeys.
· Support product & campaign nominations for our email & app push CRM strategy; providing URLs and a steer to the digital design teams, proof reading all trading emails and app pushes to ensure alignment to the brief.
· Merchandising ownership of specific product categories where you will serve as the digital point of contact and build strong relationships with the buying team by attending category meetings and feed in analysis and actions.
· Deputise for the Head of Digital Trading in updating sales performance documents, attending ad hoc meetings and providing a trading steer to the wider digital team or relevant stakeholders.
· Line management of the digital merchandiser to ensure they successfully meet their own deliverables.
· Stay abreast of relevant competitor activity, identify sales risks and opportunities, and understand how others deliver content and use this insight to drive change/improvements where required.
About you
· 2 years of experience in an ecommerce environment, with a strong understanding of online merchandising, website taxonomy and usability.
· Customer focussed with a proven track record of considering customer journeys and applying customer and campaign insights to merchandising decisions.
· Exceptional organisation and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate positively as part of a team and influence delivery and change.
· Initiative driven, excited by change and proactive in seeking new opportunities.
· Numerate and results orientated with a solid commercial understanding of digital KPIs.
· Ability to work at pace, with resilience and agility to navigate a fast-paced retail environment.
· Understanding of SEO, CRM and site content strategies.
· Experience of GA4 and Contentsquare and a working knowledge of Salesforce and Bloomreach.
· Experience in training, coaching or managing is advantageous.
