32.5 hours per week, term time only, permanent contract
NJC grade 5 Salary £25,992 to £28,624
Actual salary £19,134 to £21,072 for a 38-week working year

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and technology savvy Technician to work within our Media Department. The ideal candidate will be adept at using and promoting new technologies.
The role encompasses: whole school responsibility for digital media creation; filming within the classroom environment and during school events; operating the drone and camera equipment; video editing to create quality school videos; creating posters and design work for the school website and social media.
The position also provides both technical and administrative support within the Media Department. Duties include in class guidance and support to students; providing demonstrations and practicals; setting up and maintaining photographic/filming/editing equipment; reordering stock; maintaining an inventory of resources; supporting and supervising small groups of students working on curriculum specific projects.
Our Technicians play a pivotal role in the day to day running of our departments and it is essential that the successful candidate is confident in providing support in a multi-disciplinary capacity. To be suitable you must be practical, with good organisational and interpersonal skills. You will be proactive, pragmatic with a problem-solving approach. The ability to engage with young people is essential.
The ideal applicant will have the qualifications/experience provided within the person specification however, we appreciate candidates may not have experience of all the areas of technology detailed.
