The Team Leader will provide effective leadership and operational oversight for a team delivering digital audiovisual preservation and access services. This includes managing team performance and development, ensuring clear communication and collaboration, and maintaining high standards across technical workflows. The Team Leader will support strategic planning, promotes a positive and inclusive team culture, and ensures compliance with organisational policies, while engaging with wider departmental and external initiatives.

  • Manage and develop team members in line with the Performance Management Scheme, ensuring regular individual and team meetings, clear objectives, and ongoing development.
  • Work closely with the People team to identify development opportunities and address performance challenges early.
  • Lead a team delivering core operational functions including quality control, validation, preservation, transcoding, and access for audiovisual digital content.
  • Operate software and hardware used in digital audiovisual workflows
