Job Description:

Look Good Feel Better is currently experiencing significant growth, with revenue increasing from £942,000 in 2022 to an anticipated £2,225,000 by 2025, and continued growth thereafter. Under the leadership of our Communications and Marketing Officer, and with support from colleagues across the charity, you will play a key role in enhancing our digital media communications. This involves collaborating with prominent beauty brands, retailers, medical and non-medical delivery partners, spas, and hotels.

We are seeking someone with lots of ideas, energy, creative flair, digital media knowledge, and a desire to support people living with cancer.

Reporting to: Communications & Marketing Officer (not based at our main office).

Hours of Work: Core hours - 09:00 to 17:30, Monday to Friday. Occasionally, outside hours may be required, with lieu time provided per staff policy.

Location: Based at our admin centre in Epsom, Surrey, with regular travel across the UK for content capture and events. Ideally, the applicant will reside in London/Southeast. The centre is accessible via train and has parking facilities.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Develop content ideas aligned with the charity’s mission and identify trending content.
  • Create content for social media channels in collaboration with support and fundraising teams, and third-party designers.
  • Produce quality video content and reels using editing tools like CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere Rush.
  • Take photos and images for use in designs and directly on channels; DSLR or mobile photography experience is advantageous.
  • Enhance reach and engagement, and generate growth ideas across all platforms.
  • Plan and organize social media content calendars using tools like Trello, Later, Planoly, Meta.
  • Maintain a dynamic approach, scheduling content in advance and capturing spontaneous moments.
  • Manage community interactions with a warm, empathetic tone, responding promptly.
  • Develop influencer collaborations, manage outreach, relationships, and deliverables.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, platform features, and attend webinars for best practices.
  • Support marketing campaigns, events, and other departmental tasks as needed.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with external partners, beneficiaries, and supporters.
  • Manage projects involving multiple stakeholders effectively.
  • Establish rapport through friendly and approachable communication.
  • Create engaging, clear, and dynamic content.
  • Be eager to learn, explore new opportunities, and improve skills.
  • Maintain flexibility, innovation, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Be highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Work independently and collaboratively as needed.
  • Possess a full, clean driving license and own a car.
