Job summary

The Shrewsbury And Telford Hospital Nhs Trust is recruiting a Midwife Lead to manage the Maternity Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system, ensuring its safe operation, sustainability and development. You will lead service delivery, support colleagues, and provide expert guidance to optimise system use across the Trust.

You will deliver user training, implement enhancements, and oversee configuration changes to meet professional standards.

Qualifications

Registered Midwife active on the NMC register.
Postgraduate study (master’s degree) or equivalent experience.
Band 6+ midwifery experience with leadership and clinical autonomy.
Experience delivering training sessions, including digital health and technology-enabled care.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic and clinical leadership for the maternity digital agenda, ensuring safe, effective, integrated systems across the Trust.
Lead the implementation, optimisation and management of the Maternity IT system and GDPR compliance.
Oversee reporting, data quality, national submissions and governance of the digital maternity records.
Collaborate with clinical leads, IT, suppliers and governance to drive improvements and teach staff across levels.
