Digital Marketing Manager / PPC, Leading Agency

Our client is one of the UK’s leading creative agency groups with an exciting and diverse portfolio of clients, including travel companies, conservation charities, essential government projects, retail brands, and financial institutions to name but a few. The team reflects this diversity, bringing together talented web developers, designers, creative writers, experiential event specialists, and dedicated marketers who provide outstanding creative campaigns. The agency prides themselves on ethical, effective marketing strategies - no black hat tactics, clickbait, or questionable methods here. In particular the Digital Arm of the business are looking for a PPC led Digital Marketing Manager to complement the team.

We're seeking a motivated and analytical Digital Marketing Manager with a strong focus on paid media to join this growing team. This role is ideal for someone with foundational experience in managing paid campaigns (particularly Meta) who is ready to take on more responsibility, develop client strategies, and contribute significantly to the team's success. You'll be instrumental in planning, executing, managing, and optimising paid media campaigns across various platforms while also supporting our analytics and reporting efforts.

Day to day:

  • Strategy and Planning: Develop data-driven paid media strategies for clients, outlining clear objectives, target audiences, platform choices, and budget recommendations.
  • Campaign management: Set up, manage, and continuously optimise paid media campaigns across platforms like Meta (Facebook, Instagram), and potentially others, ensuring they meet client goals and budget requirements.
  • Analysis and reporting: Monitor campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics and platform-specific reporting. Analyse data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement. Create clear, meaningful reports and dashboards using Google Looker Studio and spreadsheets.
  • Tracking and implementation: Assist with setting up conversion tracking and events using Google Tag Manager (creating triggers, deploying tags).
  • Client interaction: Communicate effectively with clients, presenting strategies, performance reports, and insights clearly and confidently.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (creative, development, account management) to ensure integrated campaign success.
  • Problem solving and learning: Proactively identify challenges, research solutions (yes, Googling is part of the job!) and stay current with digital marketing trends and platform updates.
  • Process management: Maintain clear documentation of project progress, including status reports and contact reports.
  • Growth support: Contribute to team presentations and potentially assist with new business pitches.

To be considered for this amazing opportunity, you will possess:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience managing paid media campaigns, particularly with Meta platforms (Facebook/Instagram Ads Manager). Experience gained agency-side or client-side is valuable.
  • Technical skills:
  • Proficient in setting up and managing campaigns within Meta Ads Manager.
  • Experienced with Google Analytics for performance analysis and reporting.
  • Skilled in using Google Looker Studio and spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) for data visualisation and reporting.
  • Competent using Google Tag Manager (creating tags, triggers, basic implementation – no coding required).
  • Analytical mindset: Strong ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate them into actionable insights.
  • Problem-solving: Curious, resourceful, and adept at finding solutions to technical or strategic challenges.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable presenting to clients and colleagues.
  • Organisation: Well-organised with meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Attitude: Self-motivated, proactive, and collaborative, with a positive "can-do" approach.
  • Cultural fit: Gels well with a diverse team, interested in digital culture, and committed to continuous learning and helping others grow.
  • Hybrid working: Ability to work from the office at least three days per week.
