The Vacancy

Role Purpose

The Digital Marketing Executive position, based in either our Newcastle or London office, is a key role within our Digital Marketing team. You will play an integral part in the planning, delivery, and execution of our digital marketing strategy across a variety of externally facing platforms and resources. These include NorthStandard websites, intelligence platforms, social media channels, email campaigns, and apps. Your contributions will ensure that everything we produce is tailored to enhance our members' digital experiences and meet their specific needs.

What will you be doing?

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with another Digital Marketing Executive to coordinate digital briefs, set delivery timelines, and utilise planning tools.
  • Manage content updates across digital channels, ensuring alignment with marketing strategies and keeping content fresh and engaging.
  • Implement SEO strategies to enhance website visibility, increase organic traffic, and improve search engine rankings.
  • Manage our social content calendar, schedule content, and proactively look at ways to enhance our social media following, engagement and performance.
  • Own the delivery and use of our email channels, innovating in both design and delivery of our communications.
  • Issue NorthStandard circulars and effectively manage the circular process.
  • Track, monitor and prepare analytics reports across the digital portfolio and distribute to the relevant key internal stakeholders.
  • Support the execution of new digital developments and initiatives from the development roadmap.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of digital project requirements.
  • Provide introductions and training resources to users of our digital platforms.
  • Maintaining relationships with digital consultants and third parties.
  • Manage the processing of digital supplier invoices.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team to create, prepare, and schedule external digital communications, supporting key business objectives, working closely with our Brand and Design, Internal Communications, Go to Market, and Insights teams.

About you

Essential Skills/Qualifications/Experience

  • A recognised degree (BA or BSc) in marketing, digital marketing, business administration or equivalent.
  • A minimum of three years proven B2B digital marketing experience as a Digital Marketing Executive or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of professional digital marketing best practices including content management, SEO, social planning and management, data analysis, digital campaign management and evaluation and creative execution.
  • A proven track record in successfully contributing to multiple projects, involving multiple stakeholders, from planning to delivery and influencing staff at all levels within an organisation.
  • Experience in website management and content management systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office and marketing software including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Good planning and organisational skills with the ability to cope with demanding workloads.
  • Solid knowledge of platform analytics tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, Lookers Studio, email analytics, social trends, visitor tracking software).
  • Experience in using project management tools and/or resourcing planning software such as Monday.com and Trello.
