As an SEO specialist, you have a genuine interest in SEO and Digital Marketing and will have successfully developed and executed SEO campaigns.

You will have experience with SEO industry programs such as Google Analytics, along with experience with other aspects of marketing including social media and PPC.

As the SEO Specialist, you will be able to identify strategies, techniques, and tactics to increase visitors to our Mercia Group website(s) and achieve high rankings in search engine results pages (SERPs). You will also employ (UX & CRO) methods to convert visitors into active users, generating leads and sales.

Job purpose, tasks, and responsibilities

As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you will support planning, execution, and optimization of online marketing activities, focusing on SEO strategies, website updates, on-page optimization, technical SEO, keyword research, competitor analysis, and content strategy development.

Your goal will be to increase website visitors month on month and achieve high search rankings, employing UX & CRO methods to convert visitors into leads and sales.

You will collaborate with the Marketing Team on paid social media strategies, including Google AdWords, and work with the design team to ensure brand consistency online.

You will measure campaign performance, analyze results against KPIs, and recommend future actions.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop strategies to improve search engine rankings.
  • Research and implement SEO keywords.
  • Conduct technical SEO audits and collaborate on website fixes.
  • Optimize web pages for content, keywords, and UX.
  • Monitor website analytics and report findings.
  • Build and promote link-building campaigns.
  • Coordinate with marketing to align digital campaigns.
  • Identify content gaps and perform competitive analysis.
  • Manage website architecture and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Handle digital assets and tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, Semrush, etc.
Essential and desirable capabilities

Candidates should have experience in SEO, technical audits, content creation, keyword research, and familiarity with tools like Google Analytics 4 and Semrush. They should be passionate, collaborative, detail-oriented, innovative, and resilient, with strong communication skills.
