This Position Matters Because :
The Digital Marketing Assistant is responsible for assisting in the development and execution of digital marketing strategies, as well as producing content under the direction of the Promotions team, that will effectively promote tours and events, drive ticket sales, and increase brand awareness across all online platforms.
Critical to the position is the ability to work across digital channels, audience engagement, content creation and performance marketing, ensuring successful promotional campaigns that align with DAL’s commercial objectives and vision.
Key Accountabilities :
- Assist in the development of multi-channel digital marketing strategies in partnership with tour promoters, including social media, email marketing, search engine marketing (SEM), display advertising, and content marketing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with overall tour objectives and promotional goals.
- Assist in the creation of targeted marketing plans to reach diverse audiences, driving engagement and conversion across digital channels.
- Remain informed on emerging digital marketing platforms, tactics, and innovations to ensure campaigns remain competitive and relevant.
- Experiment with new digital channels and marketing tactics to discover effective ways to reach and engage audiences.
Content Creation and Management
- Create, curate and schedule engaging digital content including videos, graphics, short form video (e.g. Reels / TikToks), blog posts and social media copy to promote upcoming tours and events.
- Ensure content aligns with brand tone, visual identity, and campaign goals.
- Support website updates and landing page creation, optimising content for SEO, user experience, and conversion.
- Collaborate with internal creative teams and external stakeholders (agencies, artists, PR, influencers) to produce and distribute high-impact content across all digital touchpoints.
- Assist in repurposing content for different platforms and audiences, ensuring maximum reach and engagement.
Social Media Marketing
Work with the Social Media Manager to :
- Assist in executing social media strategies designed to drive fan engagement, increase reach, and amplify tour promotions across key platforms in alignment with the content calendar.
- Leverage paid social media advertising to drive awareness, engagement, and ticket sales for tours.
- Monitor social media trends and audience insights to optimise campaign performance and inform future strategies.
Paid Advertising and Performance Marketing
- Assist in the planning and execution of paid advertising campaigns to support tour promotion goals.
- Assist in the development of advertising budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and a strong return on investment.
- Use data-driven insights to adjust campaign tactics, optimise performance, and meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
Analytics and Reporting
- Track, analyse, and report on the performance of digital marketing campaigns, including website traffic, social engagement, conversion rates, and ROI.
- Use analytics tools (Google Analytics, social media insights, etc.) to derive actionable insights and recommend improvements for ongoing campaigns.
Qualifications & Experience Requirements :
- A relevant qualification in marketing / publicity or a related field is desirable.
- A strong knowledge and understanding of digital marketing within the music industry (1+ years experience).
- Good understanding of SEO, Google Analytics, and performance marketing metrics.
- Familiarity with key digital marketing tools such as Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, Mailchimp or other EDM platforms, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop etc.) is highly regarded.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
