THIS is a high-growth, VC-backed emerging leader in producing plant-based food. Meat-alternatives, to be exact. In fact, if we’re being reallllly exact – our products are at the leading-edge of the plant-based sector in terms of taste, texture and appearance. It’s worth mentioning that since our launch in June 2019, the company has experienced extremely significant growth in revenue. In 2023, THIS topped The Grocer and Alantra’s annual Fast 50 list, a ranking of the country’s fastest-growing food and drink companies on two-year sales growth. We have strong aspirations to continue this growth trajectory as we aim to be the number 1 plant-based brand in the UK and beyond and we believe we have the team and investment to achieve this.

Why are we doing THIS?

Andy and Pete are our co-founders and their last job entailed selling tonnes (literally tonnes) of meat. Then they felt bad. Also, they felt like meat-alternatives weren't really for people who love the taste of meat. So they’ve basically ended up making THIS for themselves, but they’d love other meat-lovers to give it a go too. THIS is a game-changer.

At our core, our vision is to have a world where animals aren’t food and the environment is protected.

What’s with this role?

You're the brain and voice behind our content – bold, irreverent, and impossible to ignore. You’ll make people laugh, think, and want to swap their bog-standard sausage for THIS.

You’ll run all our content across all digital to drive engagement, reach, and have conversations across every channel that matters

What will you be getting up to?

  • Develop and execute our Social Strategy with the support of the Senior Marketing Manager.
  • Own and confidently execute our multi-channel content strategy across Meta, TikTok, blogs, and our website – and whatever platform comes next.
  • Be the brand voice – loud, proud, and unapologetically plant-based – in every post, story, caption, and blog.
  • Report monthly on digital performance, using the results as direction to create even better content. Think, social listening and analytics.
  • Come up with scroll-stopping, fearless content that entertains and educates (bonus points if it makes people slightly uncomfortable)
  • Work with our designers, and agencies to keep content fresh, irreverent and on-brand.
  • Manage and lead multiple projects without breaking a sweat.
  • Jump on trends before they’re tired to make sure we’re current and relevant.
  • Collaborate across teams (within marketing, innovation and sales) to align content with launches, campaigns, and any other shenanigans.

What are we looking for?

  • You’ve got 3+ years’ experience managing content across multiple social and digital channels.
  • You know how to execute a campaign rollout.
  • You can copy write well and flex to our tone of voice.
  • You know your way around a content calendar.
  • You’re confident, proactive, and can take a half-baked idea and turn it into something.
  • You care about making our world a better one to live in, and champion our vision.
  • You driven and thrive in fast-moving environments.
  • You’ve worked in food or purpose led brands.
  • You’ve got a portfolio that makes us laugh, gasp, or maybe cry.
  • Naturally proactive, organised, and efficient.
  • You have a knowledge of AI in the marketing space (this is a real nice to have)
