Job summary

Richmond Upon Thames College is seeking a Digital Learning Facilitator to join the Digital Innovation team at Richmond Campus. You will support teachers by enabling immersive lessons in state-of-the-art immersive rooms, ensuring smooth tech setup and proactive issue resolution.

The role focuses on enhancing student experiences through transformative learning with immersive technology. You will work with teachers to facilitate sessions, manage troubleshooting, and help drive immersive learning

Qualifications

• Knowledge of digital tools for teaching and learning, and enthusiasm for innovation and technology
• Good interpersonal skills
• Confidence to support students aged 16+ in a classroom environment
• Ability to use your own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Ensure seamless technical setup of immersive rooms and equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolution to keep immersive sessions running.
• Facilitate immersive lessons and support teachers in using immersive technology.

Job description

We are seeking a Digital Learning Facilitator to join our successful Digital Innovation team at Richmond Campus. In this role, you'll be supporting teachers in transformative immersive learning experiences within the college's state-of-the-art immersive rooms. This role focuses on taking responsibility for our Immersive rooms, facilitating and enhancing immersive lessons, providing support to teachers in their use of the technology in the rooms and enabling transformative teaching. Responsibilities include ensuring seamless technical setup, managing troubleshooting issues and actively engaging in lesson facilitation which will directly impact the student experience and the success of immersive learning initiatives.

Please note: for individuals who start a term time only role after 1st September, the salary will be pro-rated from the start date to the end of this academic year (31st August 2027). This ensures that the correct entitlement to pay and holiday pay relative to the portion of the year worked.
