You will collaborate with Learning and Development Managers to define requirements, success measures, and utilize data and insights to inform your design approach. With a keen eye for design and understanding of adult learning principles, you will craft visually compelling experiences that resonate with diverse audiences and align with our objectives.

At AXA, we promote flexible working, allowing employees to balance home and office work. You will work at least 40% of your week from your local office, with a transition to majority office-based work from September 2025. Locations include Tunbridge Wells, Bolton, Bristol, Glasgow, or Birmingham, with occasional visits to clients or industry events.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Collaborate with Digital Learning Design Leads, L&D Managers, and subject matter experts to design, develop, and launch digital learning experiences and communication initiatives across AXA UK.
  • Establish suitable technology platforms, resource design, and delivery methods.
  • Create internal engagement strategies to promote platforms and enhance learning experiences.
  • Work with the Learning Experience team to curate and create content for learning hubs and LMS.
  • Utilize authoring and multimedia tools to develop high-quality digital content following brand guidelines.
  • Identify innovations in digital learning and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure new initiatives meet stakeholder requirements.
  • Occasionally work with external suppliers and internal teams to develop courses and campaigns.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience in instructional design theories for digital learning solutions.
  • Proficiency with authoring tools like Articulate Storyline and Rise, and familiarity with SCORM/HTML5 for LMS.
  • Graphic design and video editing skills, with experience in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience in designing company-wide communications campaigns.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
  • Some HTML and CMS design exposure.
  • Ability to work under pressure, problem-solve, prioritize, and adapt.
  • Self-starter attitude with collaborative team working skills.

Internal candidates are encouraged to apply via the internal careers site for secondment opportunities. Eligibility to work in the UK is a precondition.

What we offer:

We offer a competitive salary (£35,000 - £40,000), bonuses, private health, pension scheme, life assurance, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, optional extra leave, employee discounts, and wellbeing resources.
