Job summary

National Gas is seeking a Digital Lead for New Molecules to shape the digital foundations of Britain's energy infrastructure. You will drive BIM, GIS, and data strategies across major programmes, ensuring information management supports safe, efficient delivery.

As part of the role, you'll lead BIM governance, develop Power BI dashboards, integrate data environments, mentor teams, and push continuous improvement across asset management and delivery functions.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification or equivalent in Engineering, Architecture, Construction, GIS, or related discipline.
• Extensive BIM delivery experience in infrastructure, engineering, or construction.
• Expert knowledge of BIM standards and ISO 19650.
• Advanced scripting and automation using Dynamo, Python, VBA, or similar.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and analytical skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and governance of BIM models across new molecule infrastructure projects.
• Define and implement digital requirements, standards, and processes for key platforms and systems.
• Lead the creation of Power BI dashboards that deliver meaningful insights for project and business performance.
• Drive compliance with BIM standards, including ISO 19650, and improve data consistency across programmes.
• Integrate BIM, GIS, asset management systems, and common data environments to enhance digital asset management.
• Provide expert guidance to project teams, contractors, and stakeholders on digital delivery and information management.
• Develop automation solutions, mentor colleagues, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
