Siemens Mobility in Goole is offering a 12-month Digital intern placement within the Digital team at our train manufacturing facility. You will support digital project delivery across data engineering, automation, app development, and SAP, writing real code and gaining hands-on experience on shop floor systems.

You'll work with the IT Project Manager, developing SQL, Python, Power BI skills, and contributing to SAP/Snowflake environments while learning to document, test, and coordinate across

Qualifications

• Currently studying (or recently graduated) in CS/IT/Data Science or related field.
• Comfortable writing SQL queries with SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY.
• Some experience with Python, VBA, or scripting languages.
• Familiar with Microsoft 365 tools; Power BI/Power Platform is a bonus.
• Curious about IT systems in manufacturing; self-starter attitude.

Responsibilities

• Write and optimise Snowflake SQL queries to extract SAP production data.
• Support Power BI dashboards, reports and data quality checks.
• Build automations using Python, VBA, and Power Automate; automate reports and workflows.
• Assist with Mendix and Power Apps UI screens and data integrations.
• Help with SAP functional tasks like master data queries and production order tracking.
• Contribute to project updates, tests, and cross-workstream coordination.
• Build and configure shopfloor IT hardware and ensure compliance with IT policies.
