Digital Forensic Investigator

NPPV3 and SC Clearance

On-site in Manchester (travel may be required from time to time)

Our market-leading client is seeking a Digital Forensic Investigator to join them on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact in society.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a SME in mobile device forensics, conducting research and development in the exploitation of mobile devices.
  • Assist with maintenance of ISO 17025, ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and FSR Codes.
  • Prepare detailed reports and statements, adhering to standards suitable for criminal or civil court.
  • Conduct forensically sound acquisition, analysis, and examinations of mobile devices and media (on-site or in the lab).
  • Secure and retrieve data from mobile devices.
  • Provide leadership in training and professional development of investigators or technicians.
Skills/Experience Required:
  • 7+ years’ experience in digital forensic analysis of mobile devices for criminal justice systems and/or corporate investigations.
  • Hands-on experience with forensic software such as Magnet Graykey, Cellebrite UFED, MSAP XRY, Magnet Axiom, etc.
  • Extensive experience adhering to FSR/ISO17025, ISO 9001, or other standards.
  • Ability to conduct mobile device repairs to logic board level.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent work-related experience.
  • Holiday entitlement: 24 days + bank holidays and birthdays (increases by 2 days per year of service, up to a maximum of 30 days).
