Mace Construct Limited is seeking a BIM Manager / Digital Engineering Manager for a major Datacentre project near Manchester. You will lead the information management function, develop BEP, and ensure ISO19650 governance across the delivery teams.

You will advise and implement processes for a common data environment, coordinate with clients and project teams, and stay current with BIM developments and classifications. Hybrid options may be discussed.

Qualifications

• Proven BIM management experience with ISO19650 and CDEs.
• Ability to develop BEPs and information delivery strategies.
• Strong understanding of BIM standards (ISO19650, BS1192).

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain BEP and information requirements.
• Governance, assurance, and information model quality checks.
• Produce and review OIR/AIR/PIR/EIR documentation.
• Mentor project teams on BIM processes and tools.

This role will sit within one of our largest Business Units, Public, Science & Technology. You will be the BIM Manager on a Major Datacentre near Manchester.

BIM Manager / Digital Engineering Manager (Datacentre) – Manchester

This role will sit within one of our largest Business Units, Public, Science & Technology. You will be the BIM Manager on a Major Datacentre near Manchester.

Your role will include supporting clients and project teams with developing and maintaining information requirements and standards, developing and managing of processes within a common data environment and leading the delivery of the information management function for project team.

You will advise, innovate, develop and implement processes described within ISO19650 series. This includes how the information is produced and assured for digital delivery.

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Supporting the Delivery Team/s throughout the project lifecycle.
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
• Delegate tasks to others in a way that ensures they are completed effectively.
• Develop BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
• Develop and maintain an understanding of ISO19650 and any applicable standards for clients.
• Ensure security protocols have been followed for viewing and issuing of information on all projects.
• Implement governance and assurance processes.
• Monitor digital handover to completion.
• Participate in industry events to stay up to date on the latest BIM developments.
• Produce Information Requirements (OIR, AIR, PIR and EIR) as per ISO 19650.
• Produce information standards, methods and procedures, and shared resources.
• Read, understand and support the delivery of all Mace process and procedures guides.
• Responsible for object library development in alignment with wider BIM Strategy.
• Responsible for the Assurance and Checking of the Information Model.
• Responsible for the Production of the Information Model. (Pre-RIBA Stage 3 only)
• Review current technology solutions and research new solutions that can be used to improve the BIM process including emerging technologies.
• Stay up to date on the latest developments of applicable classifications.
• Support construction sequencing strategy using information models.
• Support Mace Cost team in preparation of cost plans from information models.
• Provide training on using databases, analysing data, creating templates, conducting assurance, COBie production, and other BIM-related topics.
• Understand and perform in line with Information Management Assignment Matrix (from Table A.1 of BS EN ISO 19650-2).
• Understand the setup of processes and tools for CDEs.
• Upskill the client team, Mace project managers and design team by running BIM knowledge sharing sessions.
• Collaborate with the Mace PM and Design teams on procedural elements and compliance with the Mace Way.

You’ll Need To Have

• Intermediate Understanding of ISO19650, BS1192, Common Data Environment (CDE), IFC, COBie, and Classification.
• Level 6 qualifications (or equivalent) degree apprenticeship, degree with honours - for example bachelor of the arts (BA) hons, bachelor of science (BSc) hons, graduate certificate, graduate diploma, level 6 award, level 6 certificate, level 6 diploma, level 6 NVQ.
