Job Description:

Who Are We?

  • We are McGee, a specialist engineering contractor known for designing and delivering complex civil engineering projects in London, such as Europe’s deepest habitable basement at The Londoner Hotel, and innovative solutions like reducing embodied carbon at The Acre’s.
  • We focus on quality and innovation, developing smart engineering solutions for complex problems, and enabling fast, safe, and high-quality delivery.
  • Our risk-based approach involves thorough planning to identify and mitigate risks, complemented by our in-house supply chain, self-delivery philosophy, and support services.
  • Our team includes technical and operational specialists across core disciplines, including an in-house Construction Engineering team providing temporary works design and digital modelling.

Are you a dynamic and skilled Senior Revit Technician and/or Digital Engineer seeking an exciting opportunity to join an award-winning Construction Engineering team? This role offers a chance to contribute to groundbreaking projects and foster innovation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed 3D models of temporary structures and enabling works using Revit.
  • Set up models according to company and ISO standards.
  • Coordinate design models with site and engineering teams for fully integrated solutions.
  • Produce drawings and models for procurement and construction use.
  • Identify clashes or conflicts through model analysis.
  • Develop models for animations, bid proposals, cost analysis, and planning (4D+5D).
  • Participate in design coordination meetings, document changes and issues.
  • Create models to assess carbon emissions for project stakeholders.
  • Maintain 3D as-built models for handover and underground services tracking.
  • Provide weekly updates and reports to clients and contractors, highlighting significant changes.

Desired Skills:

  • Proficiency in Revit and Navisworks for creating and analysing 3D models.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Understanding of temporary construction structures.
  • Willingness to learn about on-site construction processes.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills for RFIs and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Ability to add asset data to Revit and Excel as per COBie standards.
