We’re seeking a highly skilled Digital Electronics Engineer / Systems Engineer with experience in J1939 and CANopen protocols to support our growing automotive and embedded systems projects. This is a freelance opportunity, ideal for an experienced individual or a small company offering specialized services.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design and integration of embedded systems for automotive or industrial applications

· Work with CAN-based communication protocols, particularly J1939 and CANopen

· Collaborate with our internal engineering and software teams to develop and test solutions

· Support system-level hardware/software integration

· Deliver documentation and support through all stages of the development cycle

Ideal Candidate:

· Strong background in digital electronics, embedded systems, or automotive electronics

· Practical experience with CAN bus, J1939, and CANopen

· Comfortable reading and modifying software (experience in C/C++ or embedded software is essential)

· Able to work independently and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams

· Based locally or available for on-site collaboration as needed

· A good knowledge of analogue electronics would be useful for other projects but not essential.
