Digital Educator 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (possible occasional evening or weekend working as required) Fixed-term contract for 12 months. Starting salary £41,750 per annum, with room to develop and progress through the pay grade banding to £47,236 on a competency based framework.
Main duties of the job
This role will lead, transform and enhance the work of the Keech Hospice learning team by adding specialist knowledge and skills in the use of digital media, and digital tools and technologies with responsibility to:
- Develop, design and delivery of technology enhanced education.
- Delivery of digital literacy and capacity training for staff and volunteers.
- Leading on digital transformation projects with an education focus.
The role will draw on digital and educational skill set, as well as an understanding of the services and departmental needs which will provide digitally enhanced education offer for current and future needs. You will:
- Lead digital education.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- A good standard of education with at least 5 GCSEs or equivalent grades A-C/4-9, including English and Maths.
- Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent experience.
- Hold a teaching qualification or qualified by experience.
Experience
- Experience of designing, delivering and evaluating digital learning and support.
- An understanding and commitment to continuous development.
- Use of digital media including use of audio, video, social networking, designs etc.
- Problem solving within a teaching and learning context.
- Developing others practice in digital media when teaching.
- Collaborating with ICT teams.
- Implementing change and new ways of working, guiding/leading colleagues through a change management process.
- Collaborating across the organisation including Marketing and Communication teams, ICT team, digital groups and champions.
