Job summary

House of Commons is seeking an Education Programme Lead to develop and deliver a new digital education initiative for secondary schools across the UK. You will craft curriculum-linked content, including a democracy programme and a post-16 study week, and transform the vision into a scalable, impactful delivery model.

You will lead live-to-camera and pre-recorded sessions, collaborating with Members of both Houses and the Education and Engagement Team to reach thousands of students and ensure

Qualifications

• Education Programme Management: experience designing and managing large-scale education programmes for school-aged children.
• Digital Programming: skills in digital creation of education programming including delivery.
• Delivery: live-to-camera and pre-recorded video content to engage thousands of young people in one session.
• Communication: highly developed skills in delivering education sessions to secondary students.
• Education Knowledge: knowledge in learning theory and applying it to digital programming for school-aged children across four nations.
• Stakeholder Engagement: experience working with stakeholders across departments including VIP guests.
• Inclusion and Diversity: making educational programming inclusive to all audiences and for line management.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, launch and delivery of a new digital education programme for secondary schools across the UK.
• Create curriculum-linked content including democracy programme and post-16 study week.
• Transform programme vision into a scalable delivery model and keep content fresh.
• Deliver live-to-camera and recorded sessions to engage young audiences.
• Manage an Outreach Officer and collaborate with Education and Engagement Team to support wider programmes.
• Oversee programme delivery, monitor performance, reporting and participation targets.
